Rapid Access Clinic
We are now running a Rapid Access Clinic to ensure that those patients with urgent medical problems see the right person quickly. The clinics are run by a Doctor and a Nurse. If you request an urgent or same day appointment the receptions will need you to provide basic details about the nature of your problem so that you can be booked with the most appropriate clinician. Please do not be offended if they ask, this is at the request of the GP's and will help us to prioritise the patients that need medical care most urgently.
Times vary daily, please telephone the surgery and a receptionist will advise you.
How to See a Doctor at the Surgery
The surgery opens at 8am every weekday and is now able to offer more appointments later in the evening. For availability please contact the reception team on 01531 633271.
The surgery operates an appointment system that allows you to book up to two weeks in advance with the doctors, depending on availability. Our receptionists are always on hand to advise patients on how to get the most out of the appointment system.
Nursing appointments are available Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 5:50pm.
Doctors appointments are available Monday to Friday morning and evening:
Morning Surgery: 9:00 - 11:00 (Daily)
Afternoon Surgery: 14:00 - 15:00 or 15:40 - 16:30 (depending upon availability)
Evening Surgery:16:20 - 17:50 (Daily)

What to do if you have more than one problem to discuss with the GP or Nurse?
If you have more than one medical problem that you would like to discuss with a doctor or nurse please make this known when you book your appointment. This will mean that we are able to book you a 'double' appointment, 20 minutes, to ensure that you have enough time to talk through everything that you would like to.
How to See a Nurse at the Surgery
Appointments with the nursing team can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance. Each appointment is 10 minutes, however some tests and procedures take a little longer, therefore please tell the receptionist what the appointment is for so enough time can be allocated.
If you have an appointment booked that you no longer need, please contact the surgery to cancel it. We are often able to fill cancelled appointments at short notice.
